Take Your Mind For A Run

Are you ready to shut down limiting beliefs, get out your sneakers, hit the pavement and experience the thrill of health THROUGH mindful running?

FREE MIND FIT BODY is a 6 week, hands on program that takes you through the core elements for running and integrates them as part of your well-being.

1.

Have you ever woken tired and frustrated by your lack of energy?

Lack of energy can come from a multitude of symptoms, like poor nutrition or lack of sleep; but an underlying culprit may be that you are not engaged, body and mind, in a physical practice that empowers you.

2.

Have you felt worn down by family duties and work and can’t seem to carve out time for your fitness and well-being?

So many people live in a prolonged state of overwhelm and stress to find the balance between work and homelife. Much needed self-care gets pushed aside when it is essential to support us in connecting with our nature, calming down and getting clarity on what is truly important to us.

3.

Have you ever tried running, only to feel like a failure because it was just too hard or unenjoyable?

The running world is filled with competitive types that believe pushing harder, faster, and longer is the only way to feel accomplished in your run. This leads to false expectations, burn out, even injury, which is not only frustrating but takes you farther away from your goals.

4.

Isn’t it time you found an enjoyable, fitness program that works for you and not against you?

It is a daily challenge to optimize your efficiency while still knowing how to relax into the present moment. If, however, you find yourself rushing from place to place or duty to duty, you may get aggravated, and be unsatisfied because you are not feeling like a whole individual whose needs are being met.

You are listening to the constant chatter of your mind instead of having the space to choose your mindset and the energy surrounding your activities. You walk around feeling less like yourself, even though you may be doing more than ever.

These states of being come with a great cost.

…You either put on a smile for everyone else, while you secretly feel unhappy, with a gnawing sense of dissatisfaction though it seems you “have it all”.

….You may have out of body experiences or disassociate from your needs.

…You feel a constant feeling of loneliness as though you are just getting through it all, but not fully experiencing the beauty of the moment with your family.

…You may have times of overwhelm or anxiety leading to anger, disconnection from your partner, or feeling less capable than friends who always seem to have it easier.

The downward spiral is one of exhaustion, emotional eating, self-neglect, and possibly depression.

You know that if you keep going this way, your suffering will grow affecting the relationships in your life, your business, your work and your social life. You want to feel present, positive, energetic and loving but if you keep going on like this you will find pain, disconnect, and unhappiness. This is not who you are and it is not who you want to be.

“I choose to move freely”

Waking up with a tinge of nervous excitement,

You put on the sports clothes and running shoes prepared intentionally near your bed the night before.

As you step outside, the cold air on your skin awakens your senses and you start off on a brisk walk connecting to your breath, the silence and the scene around you.

You begin a 5 minute warm-up and your body breathes a sigh of relief as the blood moves through your joints and muscles, warming and stretching.

You tune inwards, breathe comfortably and quiet your mind.

You ease your way into a slow jog and enjoy the feeling of the sweat forming on your brow, the air moving through you and the sound of your feet touching the earth. You repeat the mantra “I choose to move freely” as you finish your jog gracefully with a 30 second sprint.

You smile and enter your home fully awake and energized.

You peel your sweaty clothes off and jump into a warm shower, the water cleansing your skin. You smile an accomplished, giddy smile, eyes open to what the day has to offer.

Today, you feel peaceful and NOT reactive to your kids or partner. Your mind is clear and you can focus on your goals. You have an inner sense of accomplishment and your body feels refreshed.

These days not only begin well and add a sense of calm and well-being, they may be the missing link in finding solutions to problems, or help you into acting upon a vision or dream. These days are actually crucial to your transformation.

It may be hard to believe that this can be your new reality.

While you might have tried aerobic classes or fitness videos, they may not have worked consistently because they are either too time consuming, unfulfilling or boring, and you don’t feel like it adds to your personal growth. In order for a movement practice to stick, it should be free, easily accessible anywhere, anytime, and engage the WHOLE you, allows you to release stress, feel empowered and help you become the person you want to be both in the mind and the body.

I have created an integrated, mindful running program for you because I myself have been through these very challenges!

Hi, I'm Dr. Adeena Assif

I have 5 boys ranging from 5 to 17. There were plenty of times when I was exhausted from lack of sleep, felt overwhelmed by everyone’s needs (including my own), and hated what I saw in the mirror. Two and a half months after every birth, I really wanted to get back outside, running care-free, but more often than not my legs felt like rocks and every step was like starting anew. I was disconcerted, but I didn’t want to give up.

With a toddler and one year old, I decided to study to be a yoga instructor and sought out a program that would encourage my growth through yoga as a lifestyle and not just an “asana” (poses) practice. We studied yoga tradition, philosophy, psychology, and many aspects of practice and meditation. Yoga has brought to my running of over 25 years an ability to calm the mind and body with the breath and open the senses to the beauty and glory of the present moment.

Even after taking my running further into half-marathons and full marathons, the most important part of this journey has been the gifts I have received through committing to my personal growth. In running, you must believe in yourself and in yoga, you do this with connection and coming back to the breath. These two movement practices help you break limiting beliefs and feel appreciative of the gifts your body can give you if you treat it with love and care.

How do I know this is really for me?

What If I’m not athletic enough?

Why would I be able to commit to this and not all previous programs?

Let me ask you - What does your life look like if you DON’T do this for yourself?

It’s another day of feeling limp.
of losing muscle
of exhaustion by 7 pm
of fighting with the kids because of disappointment in YOURSELF.

We accept newbies and beginners with some running background because this program takes your personal fitness level into consideration while nevertheless steadily progressing to ensure safety and avoid injury.

I know right now you may be skeptical about being able to take on a running program. You may be asking yourself if running really is for you, if you are athletic enough, committed enough or even if you have the time to put in the work. But if you are tired of feeling limp, losing muscle and stamina and you are ready to prioritize your health and wellness within your busy schedule, I highly suggest you read on to find out more.

The greatest secret I have learned after years of team sports, swimming, gymnastics, dance, running and yoga is:

Your exercise program must consider your beliefs, your mindset and goals as well as your fitness level to truly produce lasting results as a part of your lifestyle.

And so, I have created the free mind fit body running program because running is the most basic and natural movement we have available for our overall well-being, and can support us in our desire to evolve and transform ourselves.

Feel young and vibrant, capable and strong, resilient to challenges, yet in a relaxed state because you have the confidence in yourself and your body. Master the technique, the breath, the exercises for strength and stretch and tackle any hill or route because you will know exactly what to do.

The 3 greatest benefits of this program are:

And best of all, you can achieve all of these results

The free mind fit body running program is a six week program designed for you to connect with yourself and takes you through the stages step by step so you can create a sustainable, fun running practice that you love!

The program

Week 1 is called Mind Your Step and the focus is mindset and alignment.

You first and foremost have to break down limiting beliefs, whilst creating new, positive ones in order to support your journey. I will also be addressing the basic alignment techniques necessary to get you started off right to improve your experience and make it a pleasurable one!

Week 2 is called Awaken the Breath and the focus is performance and the nervous system.

I will address superficial vs. deep breathing and explain why breathing well is key to running stress-free, long and happy.  The breath is indeed the portal through which we experience the body and mind as one.

Week 3 is called Claim Your Strength and the focus is strength and resilience.

One difficulty in running is in the mind’s struggle and interpretation of physical exertion. You will learn to get stronger in the mind and the body to support your natural ability to run injury-free and build resilience.

Week 4 is called Stretch Your Limits and the focus is stretching and confidence.

Since our bodies contract in certain areas in repetitive movement, stretching is particularly important and you will learn the best stretches for runners. In addition, moving out of our comfort zone helps create confidence, believe in ourselves, and fulfill our dreams. Keeping an open mind will help you see that we act upon choices instead of reacting to circumstances.

Week 5 is called Pace Yourself and the focus is endurance and empowerment.

You will learn how to pace yourself; meaning, when to speed up and slow down, so you can not only maximize your results in running, but you can use this skill to become more aware and respectful of your energy and time in your daily life.

Week 6 is called The Ground You Tread On and the focus is integration and the Whole Self.

During this week, you will take a zoom out approach by practicing the integration of all the elements and discerning the total experience of the run with your environment.

And that’s not all!

You will receive a free playlist with motivating, fun music to get you going on your third run of the week should you choose to listen to music. (27$)

You will receive a free bonus yoga class for runners (one hour), that you can practice anytime to open up and strengthen the body and mind all the while integrating the breath and the mindset principles we use in this program. (VALUE 47$)

But Most Of All….

Because I personally want to support your decision to invest in your wellness, you will be joining others just like you in a community group and receive access to six weekly zoom calls (which will be recorded) for the entire 6 week program to review the week, receive tips and ask questions.

This program has you set up for success because we got you covered!

Listen to what some of the women I have worked with have said about the program:

Thank you so so much for the program.
This week I ran 20 minutes straight without stopping (!!!) – a month ago I would have never believed I could do this,
Today, I know completely that I can depend on myself and that I am able to run, and for me this is a very meaningful change.

Efrat

The breathing exercises created a very meaningful change for me. No more “running out of breath”. In the training sessions with you, I noticed that I never ran out of breath. And – I really want to run – I wait for the opportunity to go running. It is totally thanks to you – thanks to your emphasis on positive sensations, and the lessons you conveyed on how important it is that we feel good during a run and not suffer.

Sara

I really liked the feeling that you are completely invested in the program and in our success.  I liked the steady progression in congruence with our sensations and by connecting to feeling good and not necessarily in order to achieve a race.  The exercises before and after were amazing (in my view, they are the most important, more than the running) but it was also nice to understand that if I desire to, I can also start to run in progression. You encouraged and supported us constantly and it was fun!

Ayelet

Firstly, I am really happy that I joined.  It’s already been a year after birth, and I have been trying to get back into running to no avail.  One needs the commitment for this. Learning about proper form was a real breakthrough for me, and I learned alot from it. I also learned a ton about listening to myself, and about running from a place of compassion and self-value, and not for a goal or guilty feelings about the piece of cake I ate…

Hadar

A huge thank you for the course.  Even though I missed some of the meetings, I was able to catch up. The fact that you touched upon a lot of areas helped me alot – technique, relaxation, and mindset.  I understand where my challenge is (the breath!) and I will have to work on that.  This week, I already ran twice and that is a lot for me.

FAQ's

A: Even though the program is built around outdoor running, you may do your runs on a treadmill. With that said, I highly recommend doing as many outdoor runs as possible to truly benefit from the fresh air, environment, and mindset challenges. In the 4th week, you are asked to choose a new route.

A:  You can schedule your runs when you like during the week, but if you miss one out of 3 runs, it is not a problem.  You should be doing at least 2 runs a week, ideally 3. If you miss a whole week, you should repeat the week the following week.  If you miss 2 weeks in a row, start again from the beginning.

A: This program is designed to help you listen to your body. You are in control of the pace and consistency of the runs. You can always lengthen the program by repeating the same week twice if you want the practice, and finish in up to 12 weeks instead of 6 weeks. But do not skip around or skip weeks.

A: Absolutely not! Running is a natural movement and you will receive the tools and habits to get you off on the right start.
